Funeral services for Evangelist Paddie Joyce Willingham Battle, 65, of Wilson, NC, whom transitioned from Labor to Reward on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC, will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 am and will be held at L.N. Forbes OFWB Tabernacle. The committal service will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery. Pastor George Ward will deliver the Words of Comfort.
A public walk-through will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.
Preceding her in death along with her parents were: her sister, Marie Kerney; her brother, George Kerney; sister-in-law, Willistine Cooper; one nephew Kenneth Kerney and two nieces Lakeisha and Victoria Willingham.
She leaves to cherish her love and memories to: her high school sweetheart and husband, Pastor Dennis Earl Battle of the home; born to this union, her four children, Maurice Battle (Sherry) of Wilson, NC, Charlene Battle Beasley (Chris) of Bailey, NC, Latoya Battle Deans (Arthur) of Kenly, NC, and Joycelyn Battle of the home; one stepson, Terry Lee of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren, Akira Charnise, Tamia Sherice, Tionna Shanae, Jeremiah Detrell, Jayden Shemar, and Cassidy Kamaya; her sisters, Sally Richardson (Chester) of Spring Hope, NC, Frances Alston, Jannie Matthews (Freeman), Debra Willingham and Yvonne Jones (Danny) all of Wilson, NC; two aunts, Ora Lee Farmer of Hyattsville, MD and Daisy Darden of Elm City, NC; sisters-in-law, Debra Kerney of Wilson, NC, Angela Curry of Bailey, NC and Vivian Brooks (Kelvin) of Wilson, NC; brothers-in-law, James Cooper of Wilson, NC, James Battle (Beverly) of Kenly, NC and Willie Battle (Pamela) of Wilson, NC; one god-daughter, Felicia Lynch of Rocky Mount, NC; one god-grandson, Jonathan Lynch of Rocky Mount, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
