Eva Mae Dickerson Smith

Mother Eva Mae Dickerson Smith, 95, of Wilson, NC, passed away on June 18, 2018.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Saint Rose Church of Christ DOC, 605 South Douglas Street, Wilson, NC. Bishop Henry Cox will deliver the eulogy.

Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

She is preceded in death by:  her husband, William Henry Smith; four sons, Willie Smith, Howard Smith, Jarvis Smith and Donnie Smith; two stepsons, Billy Smith and Alton Smith; one stepdaughter, Lorice Smith; two grandchildren, Deborah Smith  and Antwan Smith; one great grandchild, Tiana Hines; her   parents, Roger Milkens and Mabel Hinnant.

Left to cherish precious memories of Eva are : one daughter, Wanda Renfrow (Richard) of Raleigh, NC; four sons, Darnell Smith of Washington, DC, Roy Lee Smith (Patricia), Thonnie Smith, Samuel Ray Smith (Mary) all of Baltimore, MD; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Smith of Baltimore, MD; thirty-one grandchildren; forty-three great grand children; twenty three great great grandchildren; a devoted sister-in-law, Elder Corine Best of Pikeville, NC; three nieces; three special friends, Mother Margaret Hardy, Blanche Taylor and Paula Sneed, who was  also a longtime caregiver; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousin, relatives and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
