Estella Jones Melton

Mrs. Estella Jones Melton, 77, of 6523 of Speight School Road, Saratoga, NC, passed away on July 6, 2018 at her home.

The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, July 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Apostle Kenneth Vaughn will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Golden Gate Cemetery in Pikeville, NC. 

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Davis and Jessie Mae Davis Jones.

She leaves may cherished memories to: her husband, Marvin Melton of the home; two daughters, Geraldine Exum and Debra Williams (James) both of Goldsboro, NC; three grandchildren, Diane Rivers of Greensboro, NC, James Lee Baker, III and Deanna Sasser both of Goldsboro, NC; five great grandchildren; six sisters, Mary Whitfield of Raleigh, NC, Dorothy Mobley of Bronx, NY, Emma Davis of Salisbury, MD, Loretta Jones of California, Lula Jones and Doris Jones both of Goldsboro, NC; four sisters-in-law, Bernice Cooper, Martha Lee Bullock and Helen Melton all of Wilson, NC and Maggie Ree Flowers (Roscoe) of Rocky Mount, NC; four brothers-in-law, Leroy Melton and Renzalo Melton both of Wilson, NC, James Melton (Cindy) of Maryland and William Melton (Joyce) of South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including, three special godchildren, Iesha Hardee, Jaron Hardee and Shell Davis.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Friday at  1:00 pm in preparation for the funeral procession.
