Ms. Essie Mae Pope Wright, 93, of Wilson, NC, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at her home.
The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Higher Calling Baptist Church, 4036 Ward Blvd., Wilson, NC. Reverend Dr. John Wooten will deliver the eulogy. The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes St., Wilson, NC.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
