Ms. Elaine Hopkins, 67, of 3701 Ashbrook Drive, Wilson, NC, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, NC. Bishop Ernestine McGee will deliver the message of comfort. The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.
A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 30, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.
Preceding Elaine in death were: her parents, Jason Hopkins, Jr. and Minnie Lee Ward Hopkins; and her brother, Anthony Hopkins, Sr.
Elaine will forever be remembered by: her three children, Lakeshia Hopkins (John), Tameka Hopkins-Farmer (Michael) both of Wilson, North Carolina and Traverse Gray, Jr. (Krystal) of Woodbridge, Virginia; seven grandchildren: Bianca, DaMarcus, Amitri, Mykia, Michael Jr., Kyson, and Keyonna; three great-grandchildren, Zakaria, Damaya and Amir all of Wilson, North Carolina; three brothers, Jason Hopkins III of Wilson, North Carolina, Tommy Hopkins, Sr. (Brenda) of Alexandria, Virginia, and Ramon Hopkins of Greensboro, North Carolina; two sisters, Minnie “Kitty” Hopkins of Wilson, North Carolina and Cynthia Hopkins-Floyd (George) of Alexandria, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Tina Hopkins of Radcliff, Kentucky; two aunts, Annie Williams and Addie Diggs both of Wilson, North Carolina; one uncle, Reverend B.G. Ward of Wilson, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including her best friend, Rita Glass.
