Mr. Eddie Junior Joyner, 68, of 6302 Pine Meadows Drive, Elm City, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Pastor Freddie Williams will deliver the message of comfort. The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.
The public walk-through is scheduled for Friday, April 30, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
Preceding him in death were: his parents, Eddie and Lula Joyner; one sister, Shaquita N. Joyner; one brother, Dennis R. Joyner; grandparents, James “Jim” and Nettie Joyner and Rufus and Doretha Wallace; his favorite aunt, Ilean Parker Williamson.
Precious memories are left to: his loving wife of 17 years, Felicia Joyner of the home; six daughters, Tywanda Joyner of Raleigh, NC, Jernae Joyner, Danielle Barnes (Anthony), and Cattilla Wright all of Wilson, NC, Jessica Manning of Elm City, NC, and Breonna Vick of Sharpsburg, NC; one son, Telly Parker of Wilson, NC; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Joyner Spurgeon and Tahitia Joyner both of Wilson, NC; four brothers, Larry D. Joyner of Rocky Mount, NC, Rogdell D. Joyner (Vickie) of Austin, TX, Anthony Joyner (Teresa) of Angier, NC and Ontario Joyner of Wilson, NC; three sisters-in-law, Teresa Vick of Sharpsburg, NC, Terrie Vick and Yvonne Vick both of Wilson, NC; two brothers-in-law, James Vick (Sheila) of Woodbridge, VA and Rodney Vick (Kelly) of Sharpsburg, NC; three aunts, Virginia Barnes of Kenly, NC, EsseLean Joyner of Stanhope, NC and Shirley Joyner of New York City; two uncles, Freddie Wallace (Barbara) of Wilson, NC and Wallace Joyner (Linda) of Woodside, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends, including special friends and card buddies, Bernard, Norris, Akeem, Anthony, Timothy and Tony.
