Earnest Lee Sanford, Sr.

Mr. Earnest Lee Sanford, Sr., 72, of 3548 Zeno Street, Farmville, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Contending For The Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street SE, Wilson, NC. Dr. Dameion Royal will deliver the words of comfort. 

A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2021, from 3:00 p,m, until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Preceding him in death were: his wife, Ruby Faye Swinson Sanford; parents, William Sanford and Mary Jean Best.

 Left to cherish precious memories: one son, Earnest Lee Sanford, Jr. of the home; one daughter, Razhedatequila Eunicetage’ Sanford (Stacey) of Gastonia, NC; four grandchildren, Razhede Highsmith of Louisville, KY, Romelo Highsmith of  Gastonia, NC, Rahnia Sanford of Charlotte, NC and Queen Sanford of Gastonia, NC; three brothers, Willie Sanford, Jr. (Wilma) of Stantonsburg, NC; William “Mearle” Sanford (Mabel) of New Haven, CT, Jessie Best (Guinevere) of Walstonburg, NC; four sisters,  Bettie Streeter (Jimmy) of Snowhill, NC, Mary Barnes (Chester) of Stantonsburg, NC, Rosa Suggs (Wallace) of Wilson, NC, Sheila Johnson (Ronnie) of Hookerton, NC; mother-in-law that loved him dearly, Eunice Swinson of Stantonsburg, NC; three loving sisters-in-law, Katrina Whitted, Barbara Lucas, Edna Mitchell; one brother-in-law, Royce Swinson; god-granddaughter, Whitney Mckinney; his talking buddy, Omir Mckinney; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
