Dorothy "Gail" McBryde

Ms. Dorothy "Gail" McBryde, 73, of 3826 Starship Lane, Wilson, NC, passed away on April 30, 2018, at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Brown Chapel FWB Church 1507 Hadley Street, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm with an inspirational wake service beginning at 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs.McBryde was preceded in death by: her husband, Elbert McBryde; her parents, Jesse Raynor and Mattie Lucille Green; three brothers, Jesse Raynor, Wayne Raynor, and Donald Raynor and one sister, Dorothy Hill.

 She leaves a legacy of love to: her four children, Deatrice Raynor of Wilson, NC, Cecelia and Aaron Thompson of Maryland, and Tracy Thompson of Washington, DC; thirteen grandchildren, Monique Lawrence, LaToya Burch (Anthony), Courtney Raynor (Javon), Anthony Brown, Christian Ragin, Dexter Weaver, Tiasha, Aaron,  Jasmine, Sade, Teriq, Sharron and Mariah Thompson; nine great-grandchildren, DaGod, Jaylen, Gerniya, JaLiyah, Tehmari, Amiyah, Anthony, Davion and Cameron; three sisters, Phyllis James of Brooklyn, NY, Margaret Green of Wilson, NC and Christina King; two brothers, Kareem Latif of Maryland and Daryl Raynor of Wilson, NC; two sisters-in-law, Emma McBryde and Mary McCorrick; three brothers-in-law, Willie Thompson,  William Thompson (Linda) and Frank Thompson; a special niece, Madelyn Thompson Wike; a special nephew, Cresin Best; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
