Ms. Dorothy L. Rogers, 73, of 5001 White Oak Loop, Wilson, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC. 

Funeral Service is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2019, 2:30 pm at Lewis Chapel Church, 9705 US Hwy 264, Farmville, NC.  Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4965 US-258, Farmville, NC 27828. A public visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC. Arrangements are being handled by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC. 

Preceding her in death were: her parents, Joe Robert Battle and Hattie Williams Battle; two sisters, Velma and Lula and one brother, Frank.

She leaves precious and cherished memories to: her loving husband, Donald G. Rogers of the home; two sons, Shawn Reid (Laurie) and Jaydale Reid both of Boston, MA; two step-sons, Jeffrey Rogers of Philadelphia, PA and Jeffrey Tripp of Brooklyn, NY; nine grandchildren, Nina, Britiny, Shawn, Jaydale, Jaeda, Elijah, Trentin, Shekelia and Alvin; four great-grandchildren; five sisters, Joise Williams of Boston, MA, Eleane Gordon of Virginia Beach, VA, Sarah Tyson, Brenda Allen (John) and Hattie Davis all of Wilson, NC; one brother, Sam Battle (Patricia) of Philidelphia, PA; three sisters-in-law, Judy Shular, Bonnie Capell and Cynthia Simon; three brothers-in-law, Terry Rogers, John Rogers and Carl Rogers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive visitors at their residence and at noon Sunday, May 19, 2019 in preparation for the processional line up.
