Ms. Dorothy Lewis Artis, 80, of Fremont, NC passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at UNC Health Wayne, Goldsboro, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Greater Morning Star Apostolic Holiness Assembly Church, 705 S. Sycamore St., Fremont, NC.  Pastor Patricia Diane Forte will deliver the eulogy.  The burial will follow in the Turner Swamp Cemetery, 549 State Road 1520, Fremont, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.  An Inspirational Wake will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Greater Morning Star Apostolic Holiness Assembly Church, 705 S. Sycamore St., Fremont, NC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
