Delores Johnson Lewis

Mrs. Delores Johnson Lewis, 69, of 60 Pineview Drive, Stantonsburg, NC, passed away on May 12, 2022, at Vidant Edgecombe Medical Center in Tarboro, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at L.N. Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Bishop L.N. Forbes St., Wilson, NC. The burial will follow in St. Delight Cemetery, 341 Speight Bridge Rd., Walstonburg, NC.

A public viewing is also scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service at L.N. Forbes OFWB Tabernacle.

The family will be receiving guests at 174 Lane Road, Stantonsburg, NC, and will meet in preparation for the funeral procession at this address as well.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by:  her parents, Thadger Johnson and Josephine Jacobs Johnson; her sisters and brothers, Brenda Lewis, Mack Johnson, Willie Lee Johnson, Glenn Johnson, Sidney Johnson, Percy Johnson, Larry Johnson, Sr., and Marie Moore; and a niece whom she help to rear, Lashonda Johnson.

She leaves many loving and cherished memories to:  her loving and devoted husband, Arthur Lee Lewis of the home; two sons, Jamal Antwon Johnson of LaGrange, NC and Timothy Lewis (Candee) of Fayetteville; three daughters, Anita Katina Spencer (Marvin) of Stantonsburg, NC, Sarone Latrice (Apostle Rodney C. Brown) of Wilson, NC and Necole D. Lewis of Greenville, NC; nine grandchildren, Brianca, Jasmine, Jakaria, Jacob, Tavion, Azarie, Jamal, Jr., Alzaria and Adrianna; mother-in-law, Viola Artis, Wilson, NC; two sisters, Jessie Mae Atkinson of Erwin, NC and Angela Graham of LaGrange, NC; two brothers, Jesse Lee Johnson and Carl Johnson, both of Kinston, NC; five sisters-in-law, Barbara Briggs (George) of Snow Hill, NC, Dorothy Coley and Connie Barron, both of Wilson, NC, Patty Artis Battle of Newark, NJ and Shanel Artis Robinson of El Paso, TX;  three brothers-in-law, Ronnie Lewis and Jimmy Dee Lewis, both of Wilson, NC and Leroy Lewis, Jr., of Stantonsburg, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
