Deacon Ira Thompson, Jr., 80, of 5206 Kennedy Road, Wilson, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at UNC Health Nash, Rocky Mount, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 1:00 pm at L. N. Forbes Tabernacle, 1800 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Wilson, NC.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
The family will be receiving family and friends at the residence of his son, Pastor Anthony Thompson, at 1317 Queen Anne Road, Wilson, NC 27896.
