Ms. Daphne M. Lewis, 90, of 128 Beulah Drive, Pikeville, NC, formally of Wilson, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at The Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation of Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 12:00 noon at Wilson Chapel FWB Church, 513 Barnes Street S, Wilson, NC. Bishop Robert L. Gorham will deliver the message of comfort. The committal service will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Nash Street N, Wilson, NC.
The public walk-through is scheduled for Friday, April 30, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Parkway, Wilson, NC.
Preceding her in death were: her husband, Harrie Lee Lewis; two sisters, Lois Kornegay and Lillie Mae Jones; four brothers, James Jones, Jr. “Bunk”, Brandon Charles Lindberg “Short” Jones, Simon “Numb” Jones and Nolan Jones; two step-grandchildren and three nieces.
Cherished memories are left to: two step-daughters, Mary E. Farmer and Dianne Lewis both of Wilson, NC; four step-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; one sister, Louetta “Gussie” Applewhite of Fremont, NC; one brother, Bobbie Sears (Clarrisa) of Washington, DC; god-daughter, Albertine Speight, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
