Cosandra Patrice Lucas-Hinnant (Tonya)

Mrs. Cosandra Patrice Lucas-Hinnant, 53, of 700 Rountree Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC. 

The funeral service is scheduled for 2: 00 pm on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, NC.

A public viewing is scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2021, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Preceding her in death are: her father, Abdul “Mutt”  Aziz; her brother, Gregory Lamonte Evans; her maternal grandparents, Robert Lee Evans and Ida Belle Bryant; paternal grandparents, Lee Vester Eatmon and Mamie Lee Melvin-Eatmon.

Surviving to cherish her memories are: her husband, James Hinnant; her children, Latoya Lucas, Erykah Hinnant, Jamal Hinnant and Abdul Hinnant; stepchildren, Leon  Hinnant (Leticia), Calvin Hinnant, Keith Hinnant, Lotrina Barfield (Martez) and Mary Ellis (Alfred); her mother, Gloria Evans Lucas (David); three brothers, Anthony “Tony” Eatmon (Contina), Desmond Lucas (Michelle) and Dwight Earl Ellis (Francsola); three sisters, Reba Jewel Lucas, Ronette Steadman and Linda Faye Curtis; several nieces, nephews, god-children, aunts including a special aunt, Mary Melvin-Bailey, uncles, a host of relatives, cousins and friends including, Precious McNeil, Arial Applewhite, Maybell Beamon, Gloria Barnes, Kem Tucker and Clayvonne Batts.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
