Columbus Shirley

Mr. Columbus Shirley, 72, of Snow Hill, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Greendale Forest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, of Snow Hill, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Pastor John Ruffin will deliver the eulogy. The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.

A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 7, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway, Wilson, NC.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Bolden Shirley and M.L. Shirley: wife, Emma Nell Shirley: brother, Elma Baldwin, and step-son, Tyrone Isler. 

He leaves to cherish loving memories to: three brothers, James Shirley, of California, Melvin Shirley, of Maryland and Chester Shirley (Inez), of Wilson, NC: his two step-sons, James Isler, of Rocky Mount, NC, and Bernard Isler (Pearl), of Florida: two step-daughters, Patricia Isler, and Yvette Isler Chandler (Danny) both of (Florida): several grandchildren: fives nieces, three nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
