Christine Grooms

Mrs. Christine Grooms, 83, of Wilson, NC, passed away on May 19, 2019, at Wilson Medical Center.

The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home. 

Preceding her in death are:  her son, James M. Grooms; her mother, Virginia G. Haskins; one sister, Mary Frances G. Watts and two brothers, David Grooms and Bobby Grooms.

She leaves precious and cherished memories to: one daughter, Angela G. Barnes (Allen); two sons, Elvin Lee Williams and Anthony J. Williams; three grandchildren, LyKesia Knight, Catrone Groomes and Ciera S. Barnes; four great-grandchildren, Xavian Ricks, Kiona Grooms, Khaniyah Grooms and Chance Knight; one brother, Bennie Haskins; one sister, Carolyn Haskins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Angela Barnes, 5428 Frank Price Church Road, Wilson, NC, where they will assemble on Thursday at 12:00 noon in preparation for the funeral procession. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
