Carolyn Purdie McClain

Ms. Carolyn Purdie McClain, 68, of 2507 Saint Christopher Circle, Wilson, NC, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at L.N. Forbes OFWB Church, 1800 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC. Pastor Katina M. Holmes will deliver the Words of Comfort.

The public walk-through visitation is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday , April 16, 2022  also at L.N. Forbes OFWB Church.

In addition to her parents, Samuel and Clara Purdie, and her beloved husband, McHarvey McClain, Carolyn was also preceded in death by: three brothers, Wilbert  Purdie, Leamon Purdie, and Dennis Purdie; and three sisters, Lorein Purdie Ward, Yvonne Purdie Batts, and  Patricia Artis.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved sons and daughter, Eukali McClain (Vicker), Eukal McClain (Sherrie), and Katrina McClain Holmes (Jerome) all of Maryland; her adored eleven grandchildren, Qu’Ran,  Khalil, Khiarra, Layla, Lauryn, Khela, Elijah, Emmanuel, Josiah, Jeremiah, and Katurah; two adored great grandchildren, Little Qu’Ran and Zhui; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
