Bishop Willie B. Frieson, 82, of 1433 Eastern Avenue in Rocky Mount, NC passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at UNC Nash Medical Center in Rocky Mount, NC.
A public walk-through visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, North Carolina.
Due to the requirements under the Governor's Executive Order regarding the number of persons allowed in funeral service, the funeral service, which will be Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, North Carolina will be private.
Bishop Frieson was preceded in death by his parents, James Frieson and Estelle Knight Frieson; one daughter, Ruby Ann Morris; and three sisters, Ella Mae Jones, Janice Wilson and Linnie Mae McCoy.
He leaves many loving and cherished memories to: his wife, Ruby Mae Frieson of the home; four sons, Willie Betha Frieson, Jr. (Sherry) of Saratoga, NC, Arnold James Frieson (Pamala) of Elm City, NC, Thomas Lee Frieson, Sr. of Rocky Mount, NC and Mickel Pernell Frieson (Alicia) of Stone Mountain, GA; one daughter, Ramona Frieson Strickland (Pastor Carroll Strickland) of Wilson; seventeen grandchildren; Several great and great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Family Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson NC.
