Ms. Betty Jean Dawson, 76, of 1902 Winoca Road, Wilson, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1601 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC. Bishop Willie Thomas will deliver the message of comfort. The burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, 1603 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.
A public walk-through is scheduled for Friday, April 9, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
Preceding her in death were: her husband, Larry Dawson; her parents, Frank Anderson and Martha Bynum Anderson; two brothers, Walter Anderson and Hobbie Anderson.
Left to cherish her precious memories are: six daughters, Sylvia Anderson of Rockville, MD, Pamela Anderson and Lisa Dawson, both of Wilson, NC, Teresa Dawson of Durham, NC, Betty Hunter (Travis) of Rocky Mount, NC, and Celene Carter (Chris) of Woodbridge, VA; one son, Darryl Anderson (Shelby) of Wilson, NC; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Smith, Alice Anderson and Joyce Anderson, all of Wilson, NC; three brothers, Franklin Anderson, Sylvester Anderson, and William Anderson, all of Wilson, NC; three sisters-in-law, Elonora Jones, Naomi Jones, Harriet Dawson, all of Wilson, NC; four brothers-in-law, Joe Dawson of NY, Nathan Dawson of Wilson, NC, Robert Dawson of Greensboro, NC, and Clarence Dew of Saratoga, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
