Beatrice Suggs Smith

Ms. Beatrice Suggs Smith, 90, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020, at Roanoke Nursing And Rehab Center in Williamston, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A public viewing is also scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2020, from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service.

In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her siblings, James Williams of Wilson, North Carolina, and Sara Suggs Giles of Snow Hill, North Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her memory; a loving daughter, Frances Covington, Washington, DC; several nieces and nephews that includes Michael Giles of Snow Hill, North Carolina. Michael, over the years, was particularly attentive to Beatrice...visited her often and developed an enduring-bond and relationships with her, an attentive neighbor and friend, Mrs. Linda Wiley, "who stood in the gap" and helped Beatrice however she could prior to and after she was placed in residential care facilities; other relatives and friends.
