Beatrice C. Gay

Mrs. Beatrice C. Gay, 98, of 509 Parkview Street,  Wilson, NC, passed away on December 18, 2018 at Curis of Wilson in Wilson NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Jackson Chapel Church, 571 Nash Street, SE Wilson, NC. A public visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 22, 2018, 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Stevens Funeral Home.

Preceding her in death were: her husband, Edgar R. Gay, Sr.; her parents, John Chambliss and Bertha Cameron Chambliss; her brothers, Billy Chambliss and James Chambliss.

Beatrice leaves to cherish precious memories: one daughter, E. Lorraine Gay of Wilson, NC; one son, Edgar R. Gay, Jr (Sheila) of Laurel, MD; three grandchildren,   Sylvia C. Gay of Accokeek, MD, Edgar R. Gay III (Charlene) of Bristow, VA and Felicia R. LeSure (Michael) of Lansdowne, PA; four great-grandchildren, Antonio, Michael,    Scotty, and Christian; one great great-grandson, Grayson; a special family friend, Ann Knight; her caregiver who assisted her daughter in giving excellent care, Velma Hinnant and a host of loving friends to cherish her memory.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
