Ms. Angelin "Ann" L. Nelson, 68, of Maryland, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Adventist Health Care, White Oak Medical Center, Silver Springs, Maryland.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at The Bread of Life Christian Church, 910 Granger Street, Wilson, NC. Pastor Victor Baines will officiate. The burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street formerly Lane Street, Wilson, NC. Family and friends traveling in the processional will meet at 309 Forest Hill Road, Wilson, NC at 12:00 noon in route to The Bread of Life Church for the service.
A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson NC.
Preceding her in death were: one son, Charles Barnes, Jr.; grandson, Darrell Barnes; her parents, Eloise Roundtree and Woodrow Simon, Sr.; one brother, Fredrick Simon.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: four children, Taylor Barnes (Kimberly) of Alexandria, VA, Charlene Barnes (Larry) of Wilson, NC, Teresa Morton (Clarence) of Landover, MD and Angela Barnes of Laurel, MD; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rosemary Simon of Dudley, NC, Theresa and Lessie Williams both of Wilson, NC; one brother, Woodrow Simon, Jr. of Columbia, SC; one aunt, Shirley White of Fayetteville, NC; one uncle, Alvis Nelson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends, including two dear friends, Val Hill and Lamont Roundtree.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
