Albert Newsome

Mr. Albert Newsome, 62, of Wilson, NC, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC. 

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Perry's Temple, OFWB Church 5000 Tartts Mill Road, Wilson, NC. Pastor Annie Perry will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N Forbes St. Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Doris Hinnant, 407 Parkview Street, W., Wilson, NC.

Mr. Newsome was preceded in death by:  his parents, Curtis Lee Newsome and Helen Louise Hinnant Newsome and one brother, Barry Ray Newsome.

He leaves loving and cherished memories to:  one daughter, Bridget O. Barnes (Raymond) of Greensboro, NC; two grandchildren, Jaylin L. Barnes and Kahlif N. Barnes, both of Greensboro, NC; three sisters, Angela Newsome Coleman of Wilson, NC, Ethleen Joyner (Pastor Louis Joyner) of Saratoga, NC and Edna Hill (Pastor Willie Hill) of Elm City, NC; three brothers, Curtis Lee Newsome, Jr., Kenneth Floyd Newsome and Troy Lee Newsome, all of Wilson, NC; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends including a bonus daughter, Brittney Brown of Greensboro, NC; a special cousin and caregiver, Doris Hinnant of Wilson, NC; a special nephew, Willie Wade Newsome of Wilson, NC and a long-time friend, Janet Brown of Wilson, NC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
