Ms. Adella Faison Edwards, 101, of 409 Banks Street, Wilson, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Accordius Health of Wilson, 1804 W. Forest Hills Road, Wilson, NC.

The funeral service has been scheduled for Sunday, August 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at Steven Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC. The burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Extention, Wilson, NC.

The public visitation will be Saturday, August 8, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.

Preceding her in death were:  her daughter, Wilhemenia Leak-Shaw;   grandson, George Frankie Leak; siblings, Edward Faison, Henry Faison, Willa Mae Faison, Addie Mae Mathis, Amy Faison Hines, Ernestine Hines and William Faison.

Loving and precious memories will forever linger in the hearts of:  one son, Roland Edwards, Jr. of Wilson, NC; three special daughters, Lauranita Glenn of the home, Faustina Jones (Howard, Jr.) of Passaic Park, NJ and Minister Sonia Barnes (Minister Welton, Sr.) of Garner, NC; several grand and great grandchildren including Nydea Glenn of the home, Aloysius Glenn (Shameeka) and Jared Glenn (Kelly) of Wilson, NC, Michael Waltower (Teresa) of Augusta, GA, Ashetun Jones (Nestor) and Pauline Jones of Passaic Park, NJ, Keith Barnes (Karen) of Garner, NC, Welton Barnes, Jr. (Andrea) of District Heights, MD, Joyce Brown-Hayden of Snellville, GA, Stefan Edwards of Lawrenceville, GA,  Elmia  (Angel) Walker of Carteret, NJ; a devoted daughter-in-law, Hettie Edwards of Lawrenceville, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special niece, Vonda Hines of Hampton, VA; faithful cousins and members of the family prayer line; cousins that assisted in her caregiving, Sharon and Pamelia Hamilton; the Townsend family; and her god-daughter, Amy Windley (Gilbert) of Wilson, NC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
