Vanessa "Nell" Jones Wiggs Obituary

Vanessa Nell Jones Wiggs, 60, of 6118 Jenna Lane , Kenly, NC, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, North Carolina.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Atkins Memorial Tabernacle, 6740 Rock Ridge Sims Road, Sims, NC. Pastor Nathaniel Spells will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

An inspirational wake service will also be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Atkins Memorial Tabernacle.

Ms. Wiggs was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Jones.

She leaves cherished memories to: one son, Marco Jones (Chiquitta) of Wilson, NC; one daughter, Shanna Pone (Corey) of Kenly, NC; one grandchild, Aubree Jones of Wilson, NC; father, Joseph Ricks; one brother, Joel Jones (Sylvia) of Bailey, NC; eight aunts, Mattie Coleman, Hedy McCray and Ruth Jones all of Wilson, NC, June Sessoms (Randolph) and Nyoka Hinnant (James) both of Kenly, NC, Annie Moore of Raleigh, NC, Shirley Willis (Andrew) of Chesapeake, VA and Mae D. Austin of Greenville, NC; three uncles, Curtis Jones (Sheila) of Rocky Mount, NC, Lorenzo Jones of Kenly, NC and Olford Ricks (Joyce) of Wilson, NC; two sisters-in-law, Shirley O'Neal and Constance Ferguson (Joe) both of Greensboro, NC; one brother-in-law, William Wiggs (Roberta) of Upper Marlboro, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
