Travis Shantell Jones

Mr. Travis Shantell Jones, 28, of 12825 West Hanes Avenue, Middlesex, NC, passed away on June 27, 2018 at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Monday, July 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Saint Paul Church of Christ, 4009 Lake Wilson Road, Wilson, NC. Bishop Chester Aycock will deliver the eulogy.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Travis was preceded in death by: his father, Jimmie Lucas; his grandmother, Mariah Bailey-Jones; his grandfathers, Tom Jones and Robert Lucas.

Travis many cherished and loving memories to: his mother, Delois Jones of the home and her friend, Rufus Squarewell of Fayetteville, NC; two sisters, Tomika Jones-Moore (Jason) of Wilson, NC and Sonya Harris (Irving); three brothers, Lorenzo Lucas (Cynthia Neal) of Knightdale, NC, Bernard Lucas of Simms, NC and Shawn Matthews of Wilson, NC; one grandmother, Daisy Bell Lucas of Wilson, NC; five uncles, Denny Jones (Pam) of Wilson, NC, Harold Jones of Bailey, NC, Willis Ray Jones and Tony Bailey both of Camden, New Jersey and Clarence Barnes of Bailey, NC; one aunt, Doris Jones Morgan of Raleigh, NC; three special friends, Justin Tames, Ryan McCann and Briana Farmer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Monday at 12:00 pm in preparation for the funeral procession.
