Steve "Shorty" Hastings

Mr. Steve "Shorty" Hastings, 46, of 105 Lee Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on September 1, 2018 at his home.

The funeral service is  scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held  on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home. 

Mr. Hastings was preceded in death by his parents, Steve Dale Burgess and Wilma Jean Hastings Burgess.

He leaves cherished memories to: two daughters, Steonna Allen and Stelisha Allen both of Goldsboro, NC; five grandchildren; two brothers, Tyrone Burgess (fiancee, Tieria) of Bailey, NC and Steven King (DeAnna) of Wilson, NC; four sisters; Regina Hastings (Luis) of Walstonburg, NC, Felicia Burgess of Virginia, Tammy Bailey (Brian) and Pastor Crystal Webb (Keith) both of Wilson, NC; two uncles, McKinley Burgess and Ronald Burgess (Gwen) both of Wilson, NC; five aunts, Janet Hastings (Michael), Barbara Wilkins, Cynthia Woodard, Co Pastor Janice Davis (David) and Romaine Edmundson (William) all of Wilson, NC; five nieces, six nephews including, a special nephew, Monquel Hastings (Barbara) of Sims, NC; a special friend, Pamela Lucas of Sims, NC; several cousins; five close friends, Donald Davis of Greenville, NC, Wayne Best of Smithfield, NC; Richard Lee Coleman of Wilson, NC; Cedric Anderson of Zebulon and Keyray Hooker of Sims, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
