Shirley Holmes

Mrs. Shirley Barnes Holmes 80, of 1112 Queen Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on September 1, 2018 at Wilson Medical Center.

The funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 23, 2018  at Stevens funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.Burial will follow in Kent Family Cemetery, Kenly, NC

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by her parents, William Barnes and Louisa Kent Barnes; three brothers, Benjamin Barnes, Marcus Brown and Randolph Barnes; six sisters, Mary Paskel, Sophia Wilson, Lydia Griffin, Glintle Lee Finch, Mercedes Thompson and Doris Long.

She leaves cherished memories to : her husband, Ernest Holmes of the home; one son, Reggie Pendleton of Lake Elsinor, CA; two daughters, Sabrina Pendleton-Lamire of Australia and Porshea Pendleton of Eugene, OR; six grandchildren, Jessica Lamire, Reggie Lamire, Sienna Pendleton-Rowden, Sabrina Pendleton, Maximus Pendleton and Athens Pendleton; three sisters, Gaybella Harris (Joseph), Willie Mae McLaurin and Kay High; two brothers, James Otis Fuller (Ruby) and Anthony Williams (Angela); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
