Ruby J. Gorham

Ms. Ruby J. Gorham, 72, of 5526 Second Road, Wilson, NC passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.  

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Moriah Holiness Church, Farmville, North Carolina, Pastor Ernest Gorham will deliver the eulogy.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC., with a wake from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Mrs. Gorham was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Gorham; her parents, Roosevelt and Rena Mae Barnes Jones; her grandmother who reared her, Alice J. Jones; one sister, Ada Horne; one brother, Roosevelt Jones, Jr.; and two sisters-in-law, Gonnie Mae Gorham and Addie Spells.

She leaves many cherished and loving memories to: one son, Larry Devone Jones, Sr. of Wilson; four daughters, Ernestine Canady and her husband, Charlie, and Brenda Gorham, both of Wilson, NC, Barbara Gorham and Benita Gorham Barr and her husband, Alfonza, both of Farmville, NC; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Elmer Ray Gorham and his wife, Mary, of Washington, DC; two sisters-in-law, Mary Gorham of Bethel, NC and Evangeline Gorham of Wilson, NC; one sister, Donna Carmon 'Lil Sister' Rogers of Ayden, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including, a special friend, Dayzella Horne of Wilson, NC.

Services are being handled by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC
