Rosa Pender

Mrs Rosa Marie Pender, 88, of 5736 Lloyd Rd., Lucama, NC passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 12:00 pm at Atkins Memorial Tabernacle, 6740 Rock Ridge Sims Rd., Simms, NC 27880. Family will have a wake service from 11:00 am to 12:00pm at Atkins Memorial Tabernacle. Burial will follow in Williams Chapel Cemetery, Hwy 58, Nash County, NC.  A public Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther king, Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.  

She was receded in death by: her husband, Norman Earl Pender; one son, James Earl Pender; her parents, Charles and Lenora Hastings; and all her siblings.

Rosa leaves many loving and cherished memories to: two sons, George Pender (Mary) and Charles Pender all of Wilson, NC; six daughters, Doris Locus (Roy), Linda Atkinson, and Edith Jenkins (Ricky) all of Wilson, NC, Lenora Carter of Lucama, NC, Patricia Woodard (Paul) of McLeansvile, NC, Pastor Sylvia Best (Walter) of Sims, NC; a special son whom she loved very dearly and assisted in rearing, Adam Boswell, and his parents Bill and Becky Boswell of Wilson; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Lillie Mae Artis (Nehemiah) of Wilson, NC,  Mamie Lee Pender of Lucama, NC and Rosa Pender of Florence, SC; two brothers-in-law, William Farmer of Philadelphia, PA and Johnnie Hill (Anne) of Wilson, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, N.C.
