Robert Daniel Armstrong Obituary

Mr. Robert Daniel Armstrong, 67, 3724 Old Sharpsburg Loop, Wilson, NC, passed away on February, 28, 2019 at his home.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1601 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC. Pastor Herman Lucas will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street, Ext.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King,Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Armstrong and Emma McCoy Armstrong and one nephew, William Thomas Edwards, Jr.

He leaves cherished memories to: his wife, Dorothea Lucas Armstrong; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Parks, Daketia Lucas, and Shyron Williams; four grandchildren, Courtney Miles, Kenneth Sims, Kamari Farmer and Kellie Ray; one great grandchild, Chansley Miles; two sisters, Edna Armstrong Edwards and Dia'nnah Lewis; two brothers, John S. Armstong (Jessie) and Richard L. Armstrong (Cynthia); mother-in-law, whom he deeply cared for, Judy C. Lucas; two sisters-in-law, Cynthia Morgan (Marlon) and Vera Clay; five nieces, Robin McNeil (Julius), April Armstrong, Regina Bundy (Carlos), Netterie Lewis and Jonese Halloway (Marc); three nephews, Richie Armstrong (Cathy), Shawn Lewis (Makeda) and Riccardo Harrison (Samanta) special cousin, Barbara Barfield; three special friends, Michael Harris, Sterling Corbett and Luther Jones; a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Saturday at 12:00 noon in preparation for the funeral procession.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
