Pastor Marie (Campbell) Lucas

Pastor Marie Campbell Lucas, 87, of 3501 Senior Village, Wilson, NC, passed away on October 12, 2018 at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 19, 2018, 11:00 AM at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1800 Lane Street, Wilson, NC.  Pastor Sherry Lucas will officiate.  Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.  A public visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.

Pastor Lucas was preceded in death by: her parents, Willis and Katie Williams Campbell; three brothers, Willis Campbell, Jr., Thomas Campbell and Bishop Sidney Campbell; and two sisters, Lena Moore and Lois Jean Horne.

She leaves many loving and cherished memories to: three daughters, Brenda Murrill and her husband, Robert of Wilson, Anne Williams, of Charlotte, NC and Janice Pitchford of Newark, NJ; two sons, John R. Lucas and his wife, Sandra, of Wilson and Dwight Lucas of Wilson; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Dorothy Baines of Newark, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  

The family will be meeting at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Robert Murrill at 4108 Raven Ridge Drive, NW, Wilson, NC.  They will also assemble there on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.

Arrangements are by Steven Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
