Odessa Ricks Hall

Mrs. Odessa Ricks Hall, 96, of  446 E. Highway 97, Wilson, NC,passed away on August 28, 2018.

The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, August 31, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Red Oak Grove Baptist Church on Old Smithfield Road in Stanhope, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon "Buddy" Hall; her parents, Olford Farrow Ricks and Odell Brodie Ricks; one brother, Atlas Ricks and three sisters, Colean Strickland, Julia Pearlean Reese  and Doris H. Deans.

She leaves to cherish her memories : three sisters,  Annie Moore of Raleigh, NC , Mae Austin of Greenville, NC and Shirley Willis (Andrew) of Chesapeake, VA; two brothers, Alford Ricks, Jr. (Joyce) and Joseph Ricks both of Wilson, NC; several loving nieces, and nephews including, Gregory Leon Strickland of the home,  LaShirl Ramsey-Jordan (John), Marcus Ramsey, Christopher Ramsey, Johnathan Jordan, Christopher Phillips, Naomi Phillips, Sydney Moss and  Kirsten Jordan of Chicago, IL, all with whom she lived.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Friday at 11:00 am in preparation for the funeral procession.
