Ms. Lucinda Winstead

Mrs. Lucinda Winstead, 86, a resident of Wilson Assisted Living,  Wilson, NC, passed away on December 3, 2017.  The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.  Bishop Willie Thomas will officiate and burial will follow in Sandy Fork Cemetery, 9197 Sandy Fork Road, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Winstead was preceded in death by:  her husband, Fred Anthony, three sons, James Battle, Frankie Anthony and Mondee Anthony; four sisters, Dorothy Stancil, Edith Johnson, Doretha Tabron and Louise Evans; three brothers, Frank Battle, Jr., Fred Battle and Faye Kent Battle.

She leaves many cherished and loving memories to:  five daughters, Marzell Barnes, Pamela Battle, Dendria Kamal (Kanzul) and Shirley Craig (Kelven),  all of Wilson and Bertha Carlene Thompson of New Jersey; twelve grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; four sisters, Elnora Elliott of Nash County, Annie Robinson and Nannie Purvis, both of Durham, NC and Nicely Webb of Wilson; two brothers, Charlie Howard (Vallie) of Nash County and Marvin Nicholson Battle (Mary) of Durham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
