Minister Kenneth Hoskins Obituary

Minister Kenneth Ray Hoskins, 62, of 702 Lynnhaven Drive, Elm City, NC passed away on October 11, 2018 at his home while surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2018, 2:00 PM at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC with Dr. Donnie Baker officiating.  The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1800 Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.  A public visitation will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.  At other times, the family will receive friends at the home and will also assemble there on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.

Minister Hoskins was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Fannie Ruth Farmer Hoskins; one sister, Pamela Earp and one brother, Albert Hoskins, Jr.

He leaves many loving and cherished memories to:  his wife, Wyoming Ruth Harris Hoskins of the home; three sons, Kenneth Flowers and his wife, Jennifer and Dequante Hoskins, both of Wilson and Christopher Farmer of Hookerton; one daughter, Takita Deans and her husband, James, of Elm City; fifteen grandchildren, Demonte', Dejone', Julius, Najee, Kymani, Tamya, Aniyah, Tahjarius, Kevari, Ykeria, Jamia, Emya, Daeyah, Keyana and Monte; two great grandchildren, Chloe and Aylana; five sisters, Annie Gray Smith, Brenda Hill, Patrick Hoskins and Linda Faye Gray and her husband, Larry, all of Wilson and Mary Hoskins of Raleigh; three aunts including a special aunt, Sadie Mae Farmer of Wilson, Evora Farmer of Wilson and Bernice Farmer of Washington, DC;  a godson, Deshaun Battle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including "his oldest boy" as he would say, Rodney Hill.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
