Mildred Barrett Lucas

Mrs. Mildred Lucas, 89, of 1633 Queen Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on August 12, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 5:30 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will also be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm at Stevens Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by: her two husbands, Haywood Barrett and Buddy Lucas; parents, Vernon Taylor and Bertha Edwards Taylor and one brother, Eddie Taylor.

She leaves cherished memories to: two sons, Collin Barrett and Vincent Barrett both of Wilson, NC; one daughter, Hazel L. Phillips (Joseph) of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Mario Barrett and Akeya Barrett both of Wilson, NC, Terrie Phillips of Virginia Beach, VA and Dewayne Phillips (Theodora) of Stone Mountain, GA; three great grandchildren, Andrea Faircloth of Virginia Beach,VA, Asia Barrett and Antigonayy Pender both of Wilson, NC; one sister, Marie Wells of Norfolk, VA; three sisters-in-law, Rachel Barrett of Goldsboro, NC, Ella Mae Bosley and Mary Barrett both of Snow Hill, NC; one brother-in-law, Joe Ben Barrett of Goldsboro, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
