Margie Sauls

Mrs. Margie Ree Sauls, 95, of 312 Thurston Drive, Wilson, NC, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her residence. 

The service is scheduled for Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Saint Rose Church of Christ DOC, 605 Douglas Street, Wilson, NC. Elder Tim Woodard will deliver the eulogy.

Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at  Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. 

Mrs. Sauls was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Sauls; her daughter, Nannie Tucker; her granddaughter, Ashonya Herndon; her parents, Elijah Tucker and Maggie Hooks Tucker.

She leaves many cherished memories to: three sons, Leroy Braswell (Alice), Frank Tucker (Kaye) and James "JW" Barnes all of Wilson, NC; one daughter, Maggie Herndon of Middlesex, NC; thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a special cousin, who was like a sister, Willie Mae Edmondson; two special caregivers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including, two special cousins, Gladys Hooks and Daisy Newsmen.

The family will receive friends at the home, where they will assemble on Sunday at 1:00 pm in preparation for the funeral
