Mrs. Lou S. Robinson, 89, of 1521 Black Creek Road, Wilson, NC, passed on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Wilson Pines Nursing Home in Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Salisbury Church, 2029 Lipscomb Road, Wilson, NC. Reverend Keith Sherard, her grandson, will officiate. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC with the family there to meet and greet friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by: her husband, William Walter Robinson; one son, Frederick Stancil; one daughter, Sybil Robinson; her parents, James Arnold Stancil and Viola Redmond Stancil; three brothers, James C. Stancil, James N. Stancil and Floyd Stancil; and one sister, Vernice Darden.
She leaves cherished memories to: three sons, William Walter Robinson, Jr. and Malcolm Tyron Robinson (Jackie), both of Wilson, NC and Winfred Jeffrey Robinson (Lanita) of Heightsville, MD; two daughters, Janice Stancil Jenkins (Michael) of Fairfax, VA and Consuella Robinson Dunston (Robert) of Elm City, NC; four sisters, Doris Thompson of District Heights, MD, Brenda Stancil and Willistine Joyner (Elvert), both of Middlesex, NC, and Cheri Williams (Jesse) of Wendell, NC; five brothers, Samuel Stancil (Levonia) of Washington, DC, Wallace Stancil (Janice) of Middlesex, NC, Thel Stancil of District Heights, MD, Thurman Stancil of Wendell, NC and Alphonso Stancil (Geraldine) of Forrestville, MD; two sisters-in-law, Irene Stancil of Middlesex, NC and Catherine Robinson of Bailey, NC. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
