Josephine Williams

Mrs. Josephine Williams, 78, of 5411 Highway 264 Alt. East Wilson, NC, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at her home.  The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Barnes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1004 Railroad Street S, Wilson, NC.  Pastor Steven Kent will officiate and burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.  

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Williams; one son, Ricky Williams and her parents, Joseph and Beatrice Rice Seberry.

She leaves a legacy of love and devotion to:  two sons, Stanley Williams of Macon, GA and Ernie Williams and his wife, Toni, of Wilson, NC; one daughter, Anita Bowman and her husband, Jesse, of Wilson, NC; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie Scarboro of Wilson, NC and Marie Harrison of Norfolk, VA; three brothers, Joseph Lee Seberry and his wife, Carolyn of Arizona and Timothy Seberry and his wife, Anita, of Norfolk, VA and Kenneth Ray Seberry; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Richardson of Kenly, NC, Alice Johnson of Pikeville, NC and Phyllis Canarick of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

There will be a public viewing on Saturday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.  At other times, the family will meet friends at the residence and will also assemble at the residence on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
