Mr. Joseph Lucas, 71,  of 1703-B  Augusta Circle, Wilson, NC, passed away on October 15, 2018 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Eastern Carolina Veteran Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Road, Goldsboro, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, 

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Helen, Sister, Carolyn Lucas and Brothers, Harold Lucas and Ernest Lucas, Jr. (Kingfish)

Many adored and cherished memories are left to his wife, Mary McCoy Lucas of the home, Sons, Andre L. Cooper of Wilson, NC; Marcus McCoy of Charlotte, NC; Daughters, Keesha McIver (Andraye) of Wilson, NC, Stephanie Cooper of Fayetteville, NC, Annette Harris (James) of Wilson, NC; Brother, Bobby Lucas (Patricia) of Atlanta, GA, Special Cousin, Alvin Dudley of Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren; Andraya McIver, Asia Yelverton, Cyan McCoy, Dehja Smith, Javonte Gaitwood, Mikal Polanco and Shaquana Jones; three brothers in laws; Jimmy McCoy (Adrian) of New Haven, CT, Alphonza McCoy (Wanda) of Wilson, NC, Harold McCoy of Washington, DC; six sister in laws, Ruby Sanders of Wilson, NC, Nina Hawkins (Elbert) of Wilson NC, Donna Roberts (Jerold) of New Haven, CT, Barbara Duncan of New Haven, CT, Ruby Barnes of Delaware, MD, and Thelma King of Rocky Mount, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
