Johnny S. Joyner, Sr.

Mr. Johnny S. Joyner, Sr.,66, of Wilson, NC, passed away on November 29, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.  Rev. Tawanda A. Moore will officiate.

Johnny leaves to cherish his precious memories:  one son, John Shelton Joyner, Jr. of Newark, NJ; one grandson, John Shelton Joyner, III of Newark, NJ; one sister, Glenda Sellers Green of Richmond, VA; one brother, Willie Toney Sellers, Jr. (Cynthia) of Douglasville, GA; five aunts, Lola Spells, Emma J. Boykin, Deborah J. McPhail (Hubert), all of Wilson, NC, Bertha L. Joyner of Corona, NY and Eunice Cherry of Annapolis, MD; six uncles, Samuel "Rudy" Joyner (Blanche) of Nashville, TN, James Earl Joyner (Sarah) of Newark, NJ, John "West" Joyner (Sarah) of Cranford, NJ, George Joyner (Gallena) of Shelby, NC, JD Joyner and Larry "Bopete" Joyner, both of Wilson, NC; one great-aunt, Mary Dawson of Philadelphia, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.
