Janie Lee Pigford

Mrs. Janie Lee Pigford, 73, of Wilson, NC, passed away on September 5, 2018 at Wilson Medical Center.

The funeral service is Monday, September 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 also at Stevens Funeral Home. from 3:00 pm until 6: 00 pm with an inspirational wake service beginning at 6:00 pm.

Preceding her in death are: her daughter, Wanda L. Williams; one son, Dennis Adams; her parents, Rassi and Mary Perry Lucas; one sister, Shirley L. Hill; seven brothers, Rassi "Man" Lucas, Henry T. Lucas, Harold "Buddy" Lucas, Apaul "Paul" Lucas, James "Knot" Lucas, Robert L. Lucas and JD Lucas.

Left to cherish her precious memories are: her husband, Allen Pigford of the home; five sons, Carlester Lucas, Jasper Adams, Jr., Keith Adams, David Adams all of Wilson, NC and Billy Adams of Rocky Mt. NC; two step-daughters, Deshan Jones and Ashley Pigford of Wilson, NC; one sister, Mozelle Lucas High (Ray) of Wilson, NC; sixteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, James Hill and Willie "Ray" High both of Wilson, NC; sisters-in-law, Jennie Lucas, Mildred Lucas, Ruby Hutcherson, Linda Carol Bowser, Mary Williams and Elizabeth Pigford all of Wilson, NC; three special friends who were like daughters, Cassandra Montague, Kimberly Jordan and Jennifer Howell;special friend, Ann Knight of Wilson, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, , Jr., Wilson, NC.
