Irene Robinson Pitt Obituary

Mrs. Irene Robinson Pitt, 77, of 4315 Jones Road, Wilson NC, passed away on March 9, 2018 at the Brian Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1601 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm with an inspirational wake service from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Pitt was preceded in death by: one son, Dexter Wayne Pitt; her parents, William David Robinson and Kattie Elliott Robinson; one sister, Reatha Mae Robinson Jones; two brothers, Tommy Robinson and Linwood Ray Robinson.

She leaves cherished memories to: her husband, Eddie Thomas Pitt of the home; one son, Dwayne Pitt of Durham, NC; one daughter, Lyderia Barnes of the home; one grandson, Dwaynte' Carmon of Wilson, NC; two sisters, Mae Thompson of New York and Nellie Robinson Pitt (Crawford) of Wilson, NC; two brothers, Bishop Elmer Robinson (Rachel) of Elm City, NC and Harvey Robinson of Wilson, NC; one aunt, Nancy Elliott of Wilson, NC; two sisters-in-law, Delois Pitt of Elm City, NC and Frances Pitt of Milwaukee, WI; one brother-in-law, Celas Pitt (Glanda) of Elm City, NC; caregivers, Katrew Anderson, Myra Oliver as well as her sister, Nellie R. Pitt; god daughters, Cleora Ward of Stantonsburg, NC and Angelica Bridgers of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Thursday at 12:00 noon in preparation for the funeral procession.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
