Henry L. Williams

Mr. Henry L. Williams, 66, of Bridgeport Connecticut, entered eternal rest  on November 8, 2018.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Olive Chapel Church, 3406 Hathaway Boulevard, Sharpsburg,  NC. 

Henry was born in Greene County, North Carolina.  He was a Vietnam War - U.S. Coast Guard Veteran.  He was employed as a supervisor at Sikorsky Aircraft ,where he was employed for 46 years.  Henry was an avid learner. He attended college and earned two masters degrees while working full time.  He enjoyed being outside and loved gardening and fishing. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Williams and Catherine Williams.

Henry leaves loving and cherished memories to his beloved wife, Joan Moore Williams; two daughters, Cathy Williams and Tamara "Tish" Powell (Trevor) both of Bridgeport Connecticut; one grandaughter, Adell "Sweet Pea" Van Powell of Bridgeport Connecticut; eight brothers, Willie Williams (Lorrie) of Stratford CT, Jessie Williams (Anna) and Lindwood Williams (Tania) of Raleigh, NC, Jimmy Williams (Dorothy), Donald Williams and David Williams (Charlene) all of Wilson, NC, Ricky Williams (Angie) of Pensacola, FL and Bradley Williams (Lessie) of Ahoskie, NC; three sisters, Glenda Blackmon of Wilson, NC, Coretta Williams of Stratford CT and Ophelia Anderson (Andy) of Whiteville, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
