Mrs. Fannie Mae Evans Corbett, 86, of Wilson, NC, passed away on February 19, 2019 at the Brian Center in Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm at L N Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street, Ext. Wilson, NC.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
A wake service will also be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Barnes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church,1004 Railroad Street, Wilson, NC.
The family will receive friends at the home, where they will assemble on Saturday at 12:00 noon in preparation for the funeral procession.
Mrs. Corbett was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Evans and Sylvester Powell; sisters, Georgia Ann Evans Moye and Marcia Harding; brothers, James Franklin Evans, Edward Lee Boyd, Robert Lee Becton and Paul Evans, Jr.
She leaves a legacy of love and precious memories to her four children, daughter, Barbara Claudette Blackston of Wilson, NC; sons, Christopher Evans and wife, Roberta of Apex, NC, Donald Ray Evans of Portsmouth, VA and Alvin Quintin Corbett and wife, Delores of East Hampton, NJ; son-in-law, Ernest Blackston; sisters-in-law, Mary Mason and Mary Becton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
