Eula Pearl Horton Obituary

Mrs. Eula Pearl Horton 86, of 324 Finch Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on March 16, 2018, at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Saint Rose Church of Christ DOC, 605 S. Douglas Street, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A wake service will also be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Saint Rose Church of Christ DOC, 605 S. Douglas Street, Wilson, NC.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Leonard C. Horton; her parents, Cordie Lucas and Jane Ellen Mashburn Lucas; five brothers; Walt Lucas, David Lucas, Ben Lucas, John Lucas and Will Lucas; four sisters, Millie Barnes, Minnie Deans, Mary Simpkins, Ruby Lee Weaver and two grandchildren, Reginald Pate and Percy Pate.

Eula leaves cherished memories to her children, Leonard C. Horton, Jr. of the home, Shirley Horton of Wilson, Pearlie Pate of Wilson, NC, Yvonne Woodard of Knightdale, NC, Anthony Horton (Becky) of Wilson, NC, Valerie Bulluck (Herman) of Rocky Mount, NC, Cynthia Jones (James) of Wilson, NC and Stephen Horton (Palmetta) of Bunn, NC and an adopted daughter, Valinda Johnson (Chris) of Wilson, NC; four sisters, Ruth Lee of Philadelphia, PA, her twin Beulah Speight (James) of Baltimore, MD, Janie Purvis of Micro, NC and Roberta Respass of Smithfield, NC; two grandchildren of the home, Saquwanna Jones and Jaziya Jones; twenty other grandchildren; forty-nine great grandchildren; nineteen great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
