Essie Mae Williams

Mrs. Essie Mae Williams, 86, of Wilson, NC, passed away on November 27, 2018 at the Brian Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Dr. Donald Whitley will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street,Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will also be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by: her parents, Frank Braswell and Etta Sharpe Braswell; two brothers, James Arthur Braswell and Leroy Braswell; two sisters, Lula B. Tyson and Arether Ruffin.

She leaves cherished memories to: her daughter, Dr. Bettie L. Applewhite of Wilson, NC; her brother, Edward Lee Braswell, Sr. (Clara) of Elm City, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Dr. Bettie L. Applewhite, 3311 Boyette Drive, Apt 2A, Wilson, NC, where they will assemble on Sunday at 1:00 pm in preparation for the funeral procession. 

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
