Deacon Joshua Bowser, 69, of 2403 Fitch Drive E., Wilson, NC, son of the late William Bowser, Sr. and Martha Johnson Bowser, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at his home.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Chapel F.W.B. Church, 1507 Hadley Street, Wilson, NC. Bishop Willie Thomas will officiate and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC. The public viewing is scheduled for Friday, July 12, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bishop William Bowser and two sisters, Ella Crandall and Myrtle Ruth Wilson.
Loving and cherished memories will forever linger in the hearts of his devoted wife, Eldress Augustine Bowser of the home; one son, Tyrone Myers of Wilson; three grandchildren, Alexcia Myers, Imani Myers and Tyler Joshua Myers, all of Wilson; one sister, Mary Jane Moore of Trenton, NJ; one brother, Frederick Bowser (Linda) of Columbus, GA; his father-in-law, Elder Paul T. Bryant (Elder Commilus Bryant) of Wilson; two sisters-in-law, Mother Linda Carol Bowser of Wilson and Minister Michelle Williams (Aussie) of Anchorage, AL; one brother-in-law, Dennis Ray Cooper of Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will meet at the residence at all times and will also assemble there on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
