David Faison Armstrong Obituary

Mr. David Faison Armstrong, 79, of 512 Randolph Street, Wilson, NC,  passed away on December 8, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2019, 11:00 AM at Tabernacle Temple or Jesus Christ, 1601 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC, Burial will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019, 10:00 AM at Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Road, Goldsboro, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC,]

A wake service will also be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Saint Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, 206 Pearson Street, Goldsboro, NC, 

Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Armstrong; his father Willie James Armstrong; a stepson; Omar Harris; and fourteen brothers and sisters. 

He leaves cherished memories to: his wife,  Vivian Armstrong; two daughters: Vickye Armstrong and Vanessa Armstrong of Goldsboro, NC; one son: Brian Armstrong of Goldsboro, NC; one stepson: Michale (Tanika) Harris of Wilson, NC; fourteen grandchildren: Tomarcus Armstrong, Taurean Armstrong, Danny Johnson, Elijah Joyner, Chelea Joyner, Jada Armstrong, Calub Jackson, Brian Armstrong Jr, Edward Walters Jr, Khristian Alston, Jayanna Alston all of Goldsboro, NC; Taniya Harris, Michale Harris and Malkya all of Wilson, NC; one great grandchild: Haylee Armstrong of Goldsboro,NC; one sister: Gladys Hemingway of New York; two special nieces which he called his sisters: Loretta (Hank) Edwards of Savannah, Georgia and Gloria Campbell of Indio, California; one aunt: Virginia Young of Goldsboro, NC; one brother in law: Ralph (Dorothy) Davis of Wilson, NC; seven sisters in law: Carolyn Davis Hodges, Grace (Earnest) Davis Parker, Sondra (John) Davis Lucas, Shelia (Richard) Davis Barnes, Terry Davis Worrell, Andreal (Bobby) Davis, and Dedra (Cedric) Davis Faison all of Wilson, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Saturday at 10:00 am in preparation for the funeral procession. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
