Charles Linwood Lucas Obituary

Mr. Charles Linwood Lucas, 83, of Wilson, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Brian Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at Holy Temple Church, 3316 Airport Blvd., Wilson, NC. Bishop Henry Cox will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Lucas Family Cemetery.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mr. Lucas was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Mae Vick Lucas; his parents, Linwood Lucas and Esther Morgan; one grandson, Dejauris Thompson and one brother, Thomas Thompson.

He leaves cherished memories to: four sons, Charles Earl Thompson (Patricia) and Christopher Vick both of Wilson, NC, Kenneth Ray Thompson (Paula) of Virginia and Billy Ray Felder of Wilson, NC; four daughters, Jacqueline Marie Dew, Denise Harris and Wilhemina Pope all of Wilson, NC and Katrina Felder King of Jamestown, NC; fourteen grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Bertha Morgan (Curtis) of Wilson, NC; two brothers, James Lucas (Vickie) of Wilson, NC and Willie Thompson (Jane) of Stantonsburg, NC; one aunt, Margaret Headen of Wilson, NC; one uncle, Willard Lucas (Velma) of Wilson, NC; one sister-in-law, Willie Mae Anthony (Willie) of Washington, DC; one brother-in-law, Floyd Vick (Phyllis) of Youngsville, NC; a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Charles Earl Thompson, 3809 Bell Street, Wilson, NC, where they will assemble on Wednesday at 10:00 am in preparation for the funeral procession.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
